Waterfront Homesites Available
Crescent’s newest communities on Lake Keowee, Laurel Ridge and Hidden Harbor, offer a mix of beautiful waterfront and estate-sized interior homesites. As you approach Laurel Ridge, a beautifully wooded entry hints at what’s to come – relaxed, yet elegant lake living in a very special setting. Thirty-six lakefront homesites offer gentle terrain, a majestic tree canopy and incredible sunrise vistas over Lake Keowee. Estate-sized, interior homesites also offer lake views, as well as a mix of wooded areas and expansive meadows with stone-lined terraces – the handiwork of orchard farmers long ago.

We have a good reason for the name Hidden Harbor … this forested enclave of only 11 homesites is tucked away on the western shore of Lake Keowee around one of the lake’s most tranquil deep-water coves. Lake Keowee is renowned for its beautiful clear water, but in this deep cove, the rich blue-green color is so intense it’s almost mesmerizing.

The History of Seneca
When you make your home at a Crescent community on Lake Keowee, you are just minutes away from Seneca, a city with more than 130 years of rich history. The modern city of Seneca was founded by Confederate veterans Col. Joseph Norton and Col. Robert Thompson on August 14, 1873. When the new city was named, the tradition established by the naming of Oconee County and towns within was used – the name of the nearby Cherokee village was adopted. Thus, the name “Seneca” continues to be a part of the heritage.

Its location was determined by the junction of the Blue Ridge Railroad and the new Air Line Railroad connecting Charlotte and Atlanta. Governor Wade Hampton signed the charter for the town on March 14, 1874. The city recently adopted the motto “City of Smiles, City with Style.” One stroll through the historic downtown area, and you’ll see why.
